“Oh hardly, you know most of the people in here. What’s so intimidating about them?” Clarissa scoffed, turning to look at the young warlock.
“It’s not so much the people. Like you said I know nearly everyone here, but this place it’s like something out of my history books. I don’t really know how to react.”
“This cannot possibly be worse than the last gathering.” Ophelia took an unimpressed sip of her drink, looking out over the crowd with an expression bordering on scorn. “But anyone who thinks they can let their guard down is sorely mistaken, and I look forward to seeing the consequences.”
“I guess I have to wear a tie, don’t I?” Matt mumbled as he slid his tie on, looking away from the invitation. “I think this is as close as I get to ‘grandest finery’.”
“At least you don’t have to wear heels.” Klaire joked leaning against the vampire’s door way. “It’s a nice tie by the way.”
Klaire stared at the extravagant room in awe, and with slight trepidation, it gave the Unseelie court a presence that she hadn’t properly considered before. “This is… intimidating.” She said before frowning slightly “That isn’t what I was going to say.”
