derreck-malemayns:

“I hope you’re fine with the traditional Chinese fried rice though,” he called out, switching on the stove as he added in the ingredients one by one. He heard some commotion behind him but decided not to look, knowing she was only preparing their drink. A sad smile appeared on his face when she asked the question. “I was a momma’s boy to be quite honest,” he answered with a sigh, hoping she caught on with what he meant.

“Definitely” Klaire put Derreck’s glass on the table so he could easily reach it but at the same time it wasn’t in his way. “Really?” Klaire smiled as she imagined a little Derreck wandering around following his mum. At the same time Klaire wasn’t really sure if Derreck wanted to talk about it so she changed the subject “Is tonight a quiet one or are you heading out later?”

mattjacobson-shadowworld:

“Yeah, well at least they’ve renovated the training room. So it’s not all bad news,” he said, shrugging lightly. He looked at her with a frown, “It’s not exactly my fault that I don’t need to eat.”

“Maybe, but it clearly hasn’t stopped the perpetrator. Looks like the same M.O. as well.” Klaire sighed “I wonder if there’s some way to make the rooms inflammable, if anything it will force.. whoever is doing this to be more inventive. You’re right of course sorry,  I just wish they hadn’t burnt the kitchen even if they burnt a less used room they still get everyone’s attention while being considerate at the same time. At least it wasn’t the library though.”

eric-greenwood:

Eric isn’t fascinated with anything. At all. He doesn’t even know why he’d stumbled in this library, why he’s holding such a stupid book, nor why he’s staring at this silly picture of a sparkling fairy, wings sculpted perfectly on it’s spine, holding an impossibly straight stick with all these pixie dust trailing behind it. He perks up but doesn’t look away from the book as he hears curious footsteps coming his way. His lips form a disgusted smirk. “Who the hell started all this crap about faeries having magic wands?” he asks, still eyeing the faerie on the dusty page of the book.

“I think you’re asking the wrong question, its not the who but the why? A wand adds to a faeries already mystical and magical aura, it emphasises the fact that they are supernatural creatures making them more unattainable to mundanes, and mundanes love that. Wands are also a symbol of power, by adding a wand mundanes are sort of admitting that faeries are superior and they are acknowledging the fact that fairies have something which is again unattainable for mundanes: magic. Plus faeries and wands have been a part of mundane, dare I say culture that it is practically impossible to discover who decided the two would match so well.” Klaire took a deep breath “Sorry, if that sounded like a rant, it wasn’t my intention.”

lexnightshade:

“If you ever look me like that again,I swear I’ll punch you.” She rolled her eyes, her tone was really angry.“And can you stop acting like I didn’t see you,are you new into these stuff?” She used her sarcastic voice.

Klaire sighed, this was the second time she walked in a room to find an angry person on the other side. “Do your worst, I honestly can’t be bothered to deal with your crap right now.”
